Different Story Same Cycle- Sermon Notes Bishop Melvin Easley Jr.

"Your going to get what you need; but you must be thankful"- Melvin Easley Jr.

· Do it Gods way- Bishop Melvin Easley Jr.

· Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way which seemth right unto man, but the end thereof are the ways of death”

The Proverbs is the book of wisdom. Much of the book is attributed to Solomon the son of David and Beersheba. And the scripture says Uriah’s wife. Uriah was Bathsheba’s husband and he was loyal to David that he comes home from being at war. He finds out that David slept with his wife and impregnated her. He covers this adultery up by bringing Uriah home. In everything there’s a time and a season. If you miss the season and time it can block you from the promise. There is a time for war and a time of enjoyment.

Most people are never satisfied. Usually when it’s cold we want it to be hot. But you must learn to have balance. Solomon lets us know that even though he chastises he still brings deliverance. Out of a bad situation God allows them to lose the first child, but the second child is going to be king.

What if they had given up and fell to pieces?

They did learn to get it right. We really should get it right!

A wise man will accept wisdom and instruction, but a foolish man will not accept wisdom and instruction.

This book of proverbs discusses every aspect of life.

Proverbs 1:1-7 The fear of the lord is the beginning of knowledge.

Bishop says that he likes this because the first chapter is attributed to Solomon’s mother. We see that Solomon is learning from other people’s mistakes. You may be saying you don’t know how bad my story really is? But Solomon says that redemption all starts with the fear of God.

We use the story of the virtuous woman often in women services. As we discover, we don’t begin this way, but we must evolve into the virtuous women. We learn in our infant stages how to become the women that is honorable.

Isiah 35:8 Using this scripture bishop adds, “Holiness is not a denomination”, this is a way of life. This is a lifestyle that God wants us to live.

Don’t you want to be clean and acceptable to God?

Matthew 7:13-14 As an added scripture we assert that being foolish will lead to destruction. Out of all the people God could have chosen that was headed the wrong direction, He chose you!

God reached in and grabbed you! Not just that, but He turned you around. We should continue to give Him thanks for all that He has held us back from.

Deuteronomy 8:1 I want you to multiply. Genesis says rule, subdue, have dominion be fruitful and multiply. Having Eve present with Adam in garden, he had the ability to multiply. But without her, He did not have the ability to multiply.

The enemy doesn’t want us to multiply. God says after the Holy Ghost has come upon you; you will be my witnesses. Often times we come into the church and we don’t tell others about what He has done in our lives. Pastor says, “Don’t not be a hearer of the word and not a doer”.

Are you a doer? Before you say yes do you do some or all God says.

Do you pick and choose?

Do we treat God like a smorgasbord? – Often, we say I like praise and worship, going to church, seeing friends, etc. But I don’t like this.

Everything the enemy is doing is to make you feel less than who God wants you to be.

There’s a QUEEN INSIDE OF YOU! There is a KING INSIDE OF YOU!

Greater is he that lives in YOU then he that lives in the world!

Multiply I want you to go in and possess what has been taken from you.

You are going in, but you must go through the process.

Deuteronomy 8:1-3 as a supporting scripture. [ Read to understand this point]

When you realize that your blessing are given by him who chose you and not yours, you get to receive more by being humble. Can I tell you that if God said it; you can begin praising now! It’s just a matter of time before you get to see it. All I know is I was waiting and I woke up and saw what I prayed for. The bible says that the steps of a God man are ordered.

Deuteronomy 8:4 Forty years walking in a desert and your clothes aren’t torn. Translated “I made going through look good”.

Here’s a side bar about the 6th chapter of Joshua- The people say that God was making a way out of no way. So, they tried to lock them out of the blessing. Can I tell you somebody is trying to lock you from the door to your blessing? But locked doesn’t mean denied.

I chose you because you were the one that nobody wanted, people counted you out and left you. But he wanted you because he can use you to show his strength. God wants those that mess up and feels as though they aren’t worthy.

God is not concerned about your smile, He is concerned about your success. He has his name on you; he wants you to succeed.

Remember, the beginning of wisdom is to fear the lord.

Deuteronomy 8:6 when you lose your fear you will do things that you said you would never do.

Point 1: In the house of God we should never be jealous or envious of somebody else because God never runs out of blessings. If your friends are receiving blessings it okay to be happy for them too!

Point 2: Praise helps to have a healthy memory. Very important for your growth; “beware that thou forget not the lord thy God, in not keeping his commandments and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day”- Deuteronomy 8:11

Point 3: Don’t forget were your blessings come from.

Bishop says, “God is about to multiply everything that is attached to you”!

A lack of thanks will produce a spirit of pride. God knows how he blesses, he knows what he does and he can’t get the glory when we hold thanks from him.

Deuteronomy 8:5 another supported scripture to today’s message proves what the writer says; everything that you have been through had lead you to this point of success. Every now and then you must remember when you didn’t know what you were going to have to eat. And somehow God made a way out of what seemed to be no way.

Honestly, looking at all he has done we should have no other considerations or reasons for saying Thank You to him for bringing us out in One piece. Furthermore, pride will cause you to attempt to steal God’s glory. Although, no one can take his glory we say my power and my might has got me this power or ability. But we must admit that it’s all God. Because if he hadn’t made the way it would not be done. For it is he that giveth thee power to gives thee power.

NOW that you remember all that he has done we can receive all that God has for us. We must give the vision back to God. He is giving you back the wealth and the inheritance. God has allowed people to talk about you and I let them say that you weren’t going to be anything. God says he knew that what you bless him for it all.

Can you handle the blessing?

Creators we must break the cycle, every-time you get something from God. All your dreams and visions give them back to God. The cycle that we have created must be broken with thanks and humbleness. Even if you have not seen any of the success happen here on earth understand it has already been completed and finished in the spirit realm.

Ecclesiastes 3:14 as our support for this statement. Even if you’re on your way to it he is proving you in the process. Trust this process creator. I invite you to speak with God about the things that you see coming; every business, idea and thought thank God right now. I finish by saying with everything my bishop said this morning my biggest take away was “When you get to the land you only dreamed of; remember that GOD brought you all the way there”!

Keep Creating, Creators!
